High Solar Reflectance Bituminous Waterproof System

Reflective waterproofing membranes feature a special white granule and are ideal for application on roofs where photovoltaic systems are installed, specifically for use in “COOL ROOF” applications.
The key property of this new membrane is its ability to reflect solar radiation, keeping interior spaces cool and comfortable.
Compared to a standard black membrane, the special white granule allows for a reduction in roof temperature of over 40°C, thus reducing cooling costs.
The significant temperature reduction and high reflectivity of reflective membranes improve the efficiency of the photovoltaic system, both by increasing diffused and direct light and by cooling the air around the panels; overheating, which compromises energy yield, is prevented.
